Osamljena debela djevojka tako ocajnicki želi prijatelja i ljubavnika da ce na koncu i jedno i drugo potražiti u svinjcu. A škrti seljak otkrit ce da je osamljenost put k istinskoj bijedi.
Hrabra i izazovna, ova emotivna prica smještena u groteskni svijet neobicnog sela klizi između komicnog i tragicnog, vodeci nas ravno u središte, gdje leže skriveni najsnažniji osjecaji. Film je nastao prema istoimenoj zbirci prica Damira Karakaša, a snimao se na
autohtonim lickim lokacijama.

Evo što redatelj Dalibor Matanic kaže o predlošku: ?Njegova knjiga je odjeknula kao bum u domacim krugovima, bila je sirova, necenzurirana, direktna... Mnogima se cinila idealna samo za prepisati na film i to je to. Naravno da stvari tako ne funkcioniraju i da smo se zajedno sa samim Karakašem izmucili kao konji ne bi li stvari koje dobro funkcioniraju u knjizi, profunkcionirale i na filmu.?
?Kino Lika? premijerno je prikazana na Pula film festivalu gdje je i nagrađena s dvije Zlatne Arene (za make-up i najbolju žensku sporednu ulogu Nade Gacešic Livakovic), a nagradu je dobila i Areta Ćurkovic kao najbolja debitantica. Upravo je ona odglumila najdelikatniju scenu u cijelom filmu ? onu gdje se sa svinjom valja u blatu. Film je prikazan i na Sarajevo film festivalu, a ocekuju ga gostovanja na još nekoliko europskih festival.
Nenad Polimac o filmu kaže: ?Kino Lika nije zavicajni film. S njime Licani nisu dobili ono što je Kusturicin Dom za vješanje bio za Rome, ali posrijedi nije niti licka verzija Mojih pjesama, mojih snova, iako se i ovdje poprilicno pjeva. Kino Lika je prvenstveno ulaganje u hrvatsku kinematografiju.?
